For 40 years, Zimar International has been manufacturing quality zincs anodes. The company's beginnings started in Venezuela in 1982 when the founder, Jose Alegre noticed the lack of anodes available for his personal boat. Soon after, he saw the enormous potential the company could become and made the decision to move the company to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (the Yachting Capital of the World) He expended the product line for the South Florida market and made sure to stand out from the competition by providing the best quality hand pour zinc anodes.

 

With the increase in yacht building from companies in other countries, Zimar International now manufactures over 290 different zincs anodes. The addition of a machine shop has allowed the company to produce custom zinc anodes for customers with hard to find pieces. This family business prides itself on the foundation of producing the highest quality hand pour zinc anodes that continues to be the companies goal for the future being passed down to Jose Alegre two sons JC and Jose Jr.
